About Our Partners

Our Partners represent businesses and organizations who contribute cash, volunteers, and food supplies through a variety of fundraising and support methods.  Examples of programs our Partners use include:

  • Employers with Matching Funds Programs;
  • Employees who donate privately on a pre-tax basis through payroll;
  • Businesses who sponsor Food Drives and Fundraisers;
  • High Schools whose student organizations contribute cash and volunteer services;
  • Elementary Schools whose students sponsor fun fundraising events;
  • Local colleges whose departments contribute cash and volunteer services;
  • Local retailers who contribute cash and supplies.

We are so thankful for each and every one of our Partners and their ongoing support of our needs.  If you are interested in becoming a Partner, please contact us through the on-line form below.

If you are an existing partner or are considering becoming a partner, check out the fundraising ideas on this page.  Consider sharing your fundraising ideas with us at: info@shcfp.org and we will add them to the list with a link back to your website for volunteering the suggestion(s)!

Having Fun
With Fundraising

Offering Plates:  if you are a local church and you collect an offering during your services, consider putting slips of paper in the offering plate.  Each slip of paper names a food item that is needed.  Next Sunday, those who took a slip from the offering plate bring in their food item donation.

Diet Daze:  if you are an employer and you are focused on health and wellness for your employees, consider Diet Daze.  Offer to match in cash each pound your employees lose during a 30-day Diet Daze event.  You might also consider a Pound for Pounds approach.  We can convert 16 cents to a pound of food supplies.  For each pound lost in your group, contribute 16 cents to the Food Pantry.

Drop In's:  set up a drop box or container in an noticeable area of your company for employees to donate needed food items.

Snack Attack:  post a sign or other communication at your organization's vending machine and ask employees to donate their snack change to the Food Pantry.  Create a clever container for collecting the change.

Pounds Abound:  if you are a local elementary school, have the children collect change to 'buy a pound' (every 16 cents collected buys a pound of food).  You can also use 'a penny an ounce' approach.  Run the program for 30 days and let the children know how many pounds of food they purchased.

Seeds of Hope:  if you are a local school or youth organization, find a little space outdoors to plant a fresh produce garden.  Reap your harvest and share it with the Food Pantry.

Trunk Plunk:  if you are a business or high school organization, host a Trunk Plunk event in your parking lot.  The goal is for employees or students to gather as much canned food (ask for a list) as they can over a 30 day period and then host the Trunk Plunk show.  Create an award for the highest collectors in the group. For a little more fun, have a trunk decorating contest at the same time.  Invite the local media to come out for your event.

Sports Enthusiasts:  if your organization has a sports team, arrange a game with your toughest competitor.  The proceeds from ticket and food sales could be split between your organization and the Food Pantry.

Second Chances:  collect your second hand books and host a second hand book sale with the proceeds from your sale going to the Food Pantry.

Check back often!  We will continue to add creative ideas to this list.  If you have an idea you would like to share, let us know and we'll post it for you.  Email:  info@shcfp.org today!
