"Although I have only participated at the South Hall Food Pantry since late last summer, it is already an important part of my life.  It is so much fun to serve there and get to know friends at the Church better.  More importantly, it blesses me to see the faces of the people who are so grateful for the help we provide as they struggle through dire times.  I look forward to Thursdays at the Food Pantry. "
~  Ken Hayden,
Christ Lutheran Church

"New to Georgia I first found my church and sought their outreach services. Having worked in food banks elsewhere I knew that is the place to get the pulse of a community. Not only learn about needs and resources but meet God centered people. I have done just that along with many opportunities to pray with and for so many beautiful people. I do not have the financial resources to help in that way but I can sack groceries, load a car, smile and offer a loving hug. As a retired pubic health nurse I spent many years on the streets wishing I could give more than words of health care and where to go so the food bank gives the option of giving tangible items along with a prayer."
~ Edna, Christ Lutheran Church

We Love Our Volunteers!

We are an all-volunteer organization comprised of dedicated, talented, and spirited individuals.  We are serious about what we do but we also have a lot of fun together.  The spirit of our volunteers is reflected in:

  • Our Board Members;
  • Children in schools;
  • Teens in high schools;
  • Adults in the workplace;
  • Retirees sharing time, talent, and treasure;
  • Local businesses and their employees.

We come from all walks of life with a common commitment to feed the hungry in body and spirit.  Join us today!
